Tiwa Savage

Nigerian superstar Tiwa Savage has once again shown why she is a leading force in the global music scene. Beyond decades of chart-topping hits and international acclaim, Tiwa Savage is expanding her influence into philanthropy with the launch of the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation a platform aimed at empowering a new generation of African music talent.

Empowering the Next Generation of Creatives

The foundation is designed to support a wide spectrum of music professionals, including artists, songwriters, producers, sound engineers, and music executives. By providing education, mentorship, and access to resources, Tiwa Savage hopes to break down barriers that have long limited African talent from reaching global opportunities.

Speaking on the mission, Tiwa Savage emphasized:

“Talent is universal but access is not. The Tiwa Savage Music Foundation is my commitment to giving others that same opportunity that was given to me.”

Berklee College of Music Collaboration

In partnership with her alma mater, Berklee College of Music, the foundation will offer the flagship ‘Berklee In Nigeria: Tiwa Savage Intensive Music Program’. The four-day program, scheduled for April 23–26, 2026 in Lagos, will provide free education, mentorship, and world-class training materials to 100 participants selected on merit.

Tiwa Savage’s own journey earning a scholarship at just 24 to attend Berklee informs the foundation’s philosophy. “Education changes that. Access changes that. Ownership changes that,” she says, highlighting the importance of creating pathways for African creatives to thrive globally.

Bridging the Gap for African Talent

The initiative addresses a longstanding issue: while African talent is abundant, access to professional training, mentorship, and global opportunities has been limited. The foundation is a step toward bridging the gap, creating an ecosystem where creative talents can fully develop and gain recognition on an international scale.

With the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation, aspiring creatives now have a platform to grow, network, and gain exposure previously out of reach.

How to Apply

Applications for the maiden edition of the intensive program open on March 10, 2026. Interested candidates should prepare to demonstrate skill, potential, and dedication, as only 100 participants will be selected for this prestigious opportunity.

Tiwa Savage: More Than a Superstar

Tiwa Savage continues to solidify her legacy, not only as a global music icon but also as a mentor and visionary leader for the African creative industry. By fostering education, access, and ownership, she is helping to create the next generation of African stars who will shine both locally and globally.
