MTN mPulse Spelling Bee Eligibility Criteria

• Open only to Nigerian students aged 9–15 in primary or secondary school.
• All entrants must not be more than 15 years old at the start of the competition on 3 August 2026.
• Spellers must register as students to participate.
• Parents/guardians cannot participate on behalf of students.
• Only one entry per parent/guardian for a contestant is permitted.
• Entries via third parties and automated entries are not permitted.
• All applications are free and not on sale.
• Entrants must not have previously been declared a champion or runner-up of any mPulse spelling bee competition.
• Finalists (Top 20) must be on the MTN mPulse tariff plan.
• Parent/guardian phone number used for registration must be on the mPulse tariff plan to win prizes.
• Outdated or incomplete student profiles can lead to disqualification.

• Take the practice quizzes as many times as you like.
• Start the Entry Stage / Round 1 and answer 10 spelling questions online.
• If shortlisted, complete Round 2 with 20 spelling questions online.
• Ensure your parent/guardian phone number is on the mPulse tariff plan; dial *344*1# to migrate if needed.
• Compete in physical regional showdowns in Port Harcourt, Abuja, or Abeokuta if invited.
• Advance to the grand finale in Lagos if selected as a top 20 finalist.
