A circular currently making the rounds online indicates that the orientation exercise has been scheduled to take place across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Thousands of prospective corps members who have successfully completed their registration process are expected to report to their respective orientation camps on the scheduled date.
NYSC Portal to Open for Online Registration (12th – 18th July 2026)
The registration exercise for corps members is expected to run from June 10 to June 12, 2026. During this period, participants will undergo the necessary documentation, verification, and camp admission procedures before fully settling into the three-week orientation programme.
One of the major highlights of the orientation course is the swearing-in ceremony, which has been scheduled for Friday, June 12, 2026. The event officially marks the beginning of the service year and is usually attended by government officials, NYSC management, and other dignitaries.
The orientation programme is designed to prepare corps members for national service through physical training, lectures, leadership exercises, and community development activities. Participants are advised to make adequate preparations and ensure they arrive at their assigned camps on time to avoid any registration challenges.
The circular also indicates that the orientation camp will officially close on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. However, prospective corps members are advised to await official confirmation from NYSC through its official communication channels, as schedules may be subject to changes or updates.
