(Girls Go STEM Student Challenge 2026 in Europe) The Girls Go STEM Student Challenge is a yearly European contest encouraging girls between 14 and 19 to collaborate and transform concepts into significant STEM solutions. This year, you are encouraged to tackle a genuine challenge: space debris poses an increasing threat, and your concepts can influence the future of space technology design and usage.

The challenge is put together by Girls Go STEM, which’s a part of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology. Girls Go STEM is doing this. Teams that are chosen will get to go to the EIT Women and Girls in STEM Forum.

The EIT Women and Girls in STEM Forum is happening in Prague in November 2026. At the forum these teams will show everyone their project on stage. They will also meet people from, around the world like other students, experts and people who come up with new ideas. Girls Go STEM is making this happen.

Girls Go STEM Student Challenge is really fun. We want you to join in.

Girls Go STEM is great, for students who like science and technology.

The Girls Go STEM Student Challenge is open to girls who’re really interested in this field. These girls should be between 14 and 19 years old.

The Girls Go STEM Student Challenge has some rules. Each team for the Girls Go STEM Student Challenge must have 2 to 4 girls. The Girls Go STEM Student Challenge does not allow participation.

The Girls Go STEM Student Challenge teams can have girls from schools and countries.. Each team for the Girls Go STEM Student Challenge must register from one country.

Girls who finished the Girls Go STEM programme can also join. These girls must have completed at two introductory courses and one more course for the Girls Go STEM programme.

To apply for the Girls Go STEM Student Challenge girls should do the following steps.

First complete two courses and one more course on the learning platform for the Girls Go STEM Student Challenge. For example girls can take a course on Space Debris.

Then form a team of 2 to 4 girls for the Girls Go STEM Student Challenge. Download the slide deck.

Next create a design for the Girls Go STEM Student Challenge. This can be a drawing or a simple 3D design. Add this design to the slide deck with an explanation.

After that make a video to present the idea for the Girls Go STEM Student Challenge. This video should be one minute or less.

Every girl who participates in the Girls Go STEM Student Challenge must fill out a consent form. If the girl is a minor her parent or guardian must sign the form.

All the consent forms should be combined into one PDF file.

Finally fill out the application form for the Girls Go STEM Student Challenge with all the details. The application form, for the Girls Go STEM Student Challenge must be submitted by 27 July 2026 13:00 CET.
